Dear members of the Korean Society of Cardiology,
The Korean Society of Cardiology (KSC) is the one of the best academic societies in the country and has become internationally recognized since its foundation in 1957.
Although there have been many restrictions in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have encouraged members to participate actively through the introduction of hybrid symposiums using the advanced infrastructure and we have made a huge leap forward by attracting international conferences during the crisis.
Inheriting the feats of the formal President and CEOs who made the crisis into an opportunity, we would carry out various activities for the development to our society.
First of all, we will reorganize the infrastructure to accumulate our articles data more efficiently and to make easier to refer to them. Meanwhile, we will prepare for the normalization of academic symposiums and conferences that have been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, we will try to enhance our status as one of the internationally recognized academic societies by promoting academic exchanges with international societies and attracting additional international conferences. In addition, we will assure to make thorough preparations for hosting the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology in 2025.
Considering the recent increase in concerns in public heart health, we will expand the national heart health prevention and CPR education campaign. In order to be widely recognized as the academic society, we will contribute to the normalization of the general environment including adjustment of the medical fee to match the medical site as well as expansion of national research projects related to the cardiology field.
We promise to pay attention to the opinions of all members during the two years of tenure and do our best to reflect those as much as possible so that we could develop to the next level.
It would be pleased to have a lot of advices and encouragements from you.
President and CEO,
The Korean Society of Cardiology
