Backgrounf and Object:The objective of this study is to investigate safety and mid-term clinical outcome after thoracic aortic stent grafting in Korea during a 12-months follow up.Methods and Results:14 patients treated with thoracic aortic stent grafting. There were 7 cases of a aortic stent grafting for ruptured thoracic aorta. There were 2 cases of hospital mortality, which were both ruptured thoracic aortas.Additionally,1 case died during 6 month follow up.The causes of death were proximal endoleak because of large proximal neck(>44mm),hypoxic brain damage and rupture of abdominal aortic dissection after throracic aortic stent grafting. There were 5 cases of intentional coverage of left subclavian artery.Only one patient complained of intermittent left arm pain. The 2 cases of ruptured traumatic aortic transsection showed complete recovery after thoracic aortic stent grafting. Conclusion:Thoracic aortic stent grafting in Korea may be a safe and good mid-term clinical outcomes.More clinical data and long term follow up are needed.
