Background and Purpose:We have performed this study to inspect the prevalence of dyslipidemia and clinical characteristics of dyslipidemia in patients(pts) with coronary artery disease(CAD). Methods:We have prospectively enrolled 1665 consecutive pts with CAD who have admitted to 8 Catholic University Hospitals located in 6 different cities in Korea from December, 1999 to April, 2003. 1264 pts(M:F = 779:485) were classified and analysed according to NCEP/ATP III guideline. Result:table 1,2. Conclusion:Hypercholesterolemia and elevated LDL cholesterol are more frequent in female(p<0.01) and hypertriglyceridemia is in age < 65(p<0.01). Prevalence of dyslipidemia was not different according to the types of CAD.
