Purpose:Sirolimus-eluting stent (SES) have been proven to reduce restenosis and reintervention compared with bare metal stents in patients with stable angina. Safety and Effectiveness of SES in acute myocardial infarction(AMI) remain unknown. Methods: From February 2003 to January 2004, 81 patients(mean age:60.6yrs, male 67(80.7%), 85 lesions) with AMI were treated with SES implantation in three center. Angiographic(54lesions, 63.5%) follow-up at 6 months and long-term clinical follow up(mean 265.8 days) were obtained. The incidence of major adverse cardiac events and binary angiographic restenosis were evaluated. Results:The results are as follows; Conclusion:The SES implantation may be safe and effective strategy for the treatment of AMI.
