Background:Coronary heart disease is one of leading cause of death in Korea,especially acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Aim of this study is to assess the predictors of early adverse cardiac outcomes after the treatment of AMI in Korean Acute Myocardial Infarction(KAMI)Registry.Methods:Total cohort of KAMI registry since January 2006to December 2006,5865 patients(68.5% of all registry:8568patients)were available to analyze study.All patients were divided into two groups according to the existence of one month adverse cardiac events(MACE:death,myocardial infarction,revascularization).Univariate and multivariate analysis were done according to clinical and angiographic parameters.Results:Incidence of MACE showe in below figure.Female gender,lower systolic,diastolic blood pressure,higher heart rate on arrival,diabetes,previous angina,extent of coronary vessel disease,not performing primary intervention,intervention without stent,smaller size of implanted stent,using bare-metal stent,longer stay in intensive care unit were univariate predictors of one month MACE.Initial Killip classification,higher heart rate at arrival,ST segment elevation type of AMI,the extent of coronary vessel disease,smaller size of implanted stent,bare-metal stent were independent predictors of one month adverse cardiac events in KAMI registry.Conclusion:Risk factors for early adverse cardiac outcomes were similar to previously reported clinical trials.According to cohort of KAMI registry,incidence of early MACE rate was quite acceptable.Long-term follow-up data should be needed.
