紐⑹�� : To evaluate the accuracy of multidetector row coronary CT angiography (MDCT) in patients with acute chest pain and suspected active variant angina and to analyze characteristic imaging findings of active variant angina on MDCT. 諛⑸�� : Total 14 patients with acute chest pain and suspected variant angina consecutively underwent both 64-slice MDCT and invasive coronary angiography with ergonovine provocation test (CAG with EG test). We simultaneously analyzed left ventricular (LV) function as well as coronary arteries on MDCT and compared with the results of CAG with EG test. 寃곌낵 : Seven among 8 patients with suspected variant angina on MDCT (87.5%; 7/8) were confirmed by CAG with EG test. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of MDCT for depiction of active variant angina were 100% (7 of 7 patients), 85.7 % (6 of 7 patients), 87.5 % (7 of 8 patients), and 100% (6 of 6 patients), respectively. Collapse of coronary artery without significant atheromaous plaque on image taken during diastolic phase was a characteristic imaging finding of MDCT in patients with active variant angina. 寃곕�� : MDCT is accurate as a comprehensive imaging modality in patients with acute chest pain and suspected active variant angina.
